The most beautiful fairy you can find in your kitchen
... and she can also cook italian food! Incredible! What else you can ask for?
When i was going to the appointment to meet her, having just saw lots of picture where she was looking stunning, I was a bit worried... what if she is the classic beautiful girl, sometimes too egocentric or just too full of herself.
Instead I can't use a better term to describe her: she is a little naughty fairy just come up from Alice in Wanderland, colorful, sweet, funny and absolutely ...solar. If you check her amazing food blog, you will recognize all of it in her posts, so happy, so naturally perfect and just so charming.
She is Sonia, now in London, and now also aware of a good italian icecream place where to have a little sweet treat if she will never be homesick. See you at La gelatiera soon :)
Chocolate Week Festival... sweet!
Few week ago took place in London The Chocolate Week Festival. I couldn't avoid to go and, proud of my past as a little food blogger, I also participated to the chocolate cake competition...ok maybe I wasn't so good as I was thinking, but have a look to my competitors! INCREDIBLE!
The first cake (gourgeous and sooo tasty) on the left is from the sweet Snejana from the Orange Thyme blog but i was also happy to meet the famous Kavey (finally) and Chloe.
One day at VirginActive Milan with... Miss Branson
In September in Milan has arrived the elephante parade, similar at the one we had here in London last year. And if at the time I just enjoyed the event as part of the audience, this year in some kind of way I was part of the action: I had the change to invite and meet some bloggers (still thanks to Ninja Marketing for the nice coverage) and to meet Richard Branson's daughter, Holly Branson in absolutely "RedVirgin". Funny enought I finished to be also the official photographer for the event and my picture went directly on the Virgin.com website... but this is another history.
My Milan Fashion Week!
It was quick, it was a rush, it was full of meetings but ... I couldn't miss a Spritz with my favourite fashionistas :) Thanks at Stefania and Chiara for the cool night and Aperitive! I hope to pay you back with one in London soon ;)
Just one word... Stay Shampa!
If Maometto doesn’t go to the mountain, it will be the mountain to go to Maometto: in this case we are speaking about Topshop and Shampalove.
If the famous english brand has still not opened a shop in Italy, Flo & Roby have instead decided to take the city by storm, selling their clothes exactly in this iconic shop.
In mid september a new powerful duo has come to town... and i’m proud to say that knowing Flo from the past, she really deserves it! They are what you see and absolutely all self-made!
Are you curious now? Look for their creations in the new designer section of Topshop! From ROME with... Shampalove!
London Vogue Fashion Night Out
This Year for the first time the London Vogue fashion Night Out took place also in Covent Garden and working just behind the corner i couldn't miss it out. And between champaign, popcorns, mojitos, shopping and canapes,@dodicidodici and me had a great fun :)
Art and Jewels: the beauty all in one blog!
It was still August the first time we finally met! At the time i have just discovered that a great italian blogger was leaving in London and do you think I could have miss the possibility to meet her?So here some pictures from our great lunch break at SUDA (one of my favourite places now) where on top to discover her passion for this city, the story who brought her here, her love for art and the jewellery, I also discovered the real "gazza ladra", shy but strong, of few word, but worthed to listen to especially if it's about the latest trend in accessories, exibition and... The house market :) lots to speak about!
Blogging from the paradise!
Have you ever ask to youself: can someone actually live of his blog? And here I have an example in flash and bounds: Aron who lived one year in Ibiza just thanks to his blog Ibiza talk... Not bad eh?
It was really interesting the chat we had, yes because the guy is the most approachable and easy going guy ever. Now back in London after this experience of a "sabbatic year" (if we can call it like this), he is taking care of social media for a bank.
He told me the adventure started really in an unexpected way: he opened an ibiza page on facebook and he simply collected so many fans and likes that decided to open a blog speaking about all the things happening in Ibiza and the restaurants and hotels there. The sponsors of course didn't take long to come and his full time job was easily replaced by this. Of course the blog was requiring work, control and people to write for it, but for sure he can be proud of what he achieved in so little time and to give a good instrument to all the english speaking tourist, ready to enjoy the island!
Tzatzichi for lunch... in London
No, it wasn't our real lunch... we instead decided to eat a classic english pie and cornish pastry. Who is my guest today?
She is Lydia from the famous italian food blog Tzatzichi a colazione. I was so happy when I knew she was coming to London that I couldn't resist to ask her to going out for lunch together.
It's a long time that I know her blog, but unfortunately I never had the chance to meet her and to know a bit more about her.
She was so nice to accept my invitation and I spent with her a really lovely time. This is her in my picture: a bit shy and reserved at first, but then suddenly really funny and warm (as just Neapolitan people can be) as soon she started to know me. Passionate about food since always, but an archeologist in her daily life, she conjugates this artistic side and love for food in the pictures and recipes she posts in the blog.
How did she start with this project? In reality it's thanks to other 2 good italian food bloggers (Senzapanna e Lost in Kitchen) that she and her old friend Roberto had the chance to share all their amazing recipes...but without that little help, who knows!
Anyway now you know her too and I will run to try her Torta Caprese, that I really love :)
A greedy goodbye in London
After few months from our first chat, I had to say goodbye to a member of one of my favourite italian design blog. Discovering that she was here it was amazing and knowing that she was coming back to Italy, make me happy for her and her new possibilities but quite sad at the same time.
Reason why we had to see each other and celebrate in our on way the big news. We went to have lunch at "food for thoughs" a very nice hippy little place in covent gareden specialized in vegetarian and delicious food! The style is unique and the food was stunning...
Just right for Polkadot !
